Founded by Makino Production head carpenter Hiroshi Kawai and cinematographer Juzo Tanaka. Japan’s first rental studio. Kataoka Chiezo Productions left the studio in October 1928. Closed after use by Takei Ryuzo Production in March 1929. |

Kanjuro Arashi left Toa Kinema and joined Shinko Kinema. He established the second Arashi Kanjuro Production and became the executive manager. Sadao Yamanaka directed Iso no Genta: Dakine no Nagawakizashi in 1932. Arashi Kanjuro Production built a film studio in Uzumasa Omokage-cho and relocated in April 1935. |

Shochiku purchased and renovated the studio building. Transferred from Nara Ayameike Studio to Ichikawa Utaemon Production. Ichikawa Utaemon Production disbanded and moved to Shinko Kinema in December 1936. Tateishi Electric Manufacturing (OMRON) factory established in June 1945. Later, it became the headquarters. |

Formed an alliance with Shintoho and established Takara Production in 1950. A part of the Tateishi Electric Manufacturing factory was rented for filming. Terminated contract with Shintoho in 1952. Started a new contract with Toei. A film studio was built in Uzumasa Yasui-cho, and relocated in 1953. |
